Meet the Maker: Natalie Moggridge
Last time, I told you that I am determined to meet maker Carla Sealey in Bedfordshire when we go back to England someday. Well, I will also be on the hunt for the wonderful Natalie Moggridge in Norwich to find the foxy fabulosity of Curious Fair.
I have been a fan of Natalie’s work for many years now and I am so excited to tell you more! I love spending time in Natalie’s Etsy Shop and on her website located here. While you are there you can peruse here beautiful portfolio full of Curious Fair’s creations.
As noted on their site, Curious Fair are creators of luxury bespoke masks, headdresses and accessories for those who like to stand out from the crowd. Inspired by nature & the British woodland their ethereal creations are handcrafted at their Norfolk HQ from real feathers, dried blooms & natural findings.
With roots in theatre design, Curious Fair’s whimsical wares make for some excellent story-telling, each bespoke commission is shaped by the client and their personality resulting in totally unique & highly inventive creations.
Given that, it is no wonder that I have been drawn to the beauty of this brand!
When it comes to Natalie, the site spills the tea explaining that with a childhood garden that lead into the woods, Natalie was born to make whimsical creations. Natalie studied Costume Design For The Screen & Stage (BA) at the Arts Institute Bournemouth graduating in 2009 & went on to attend the prestigious Motley Theatre Design Course (Covent Garden, London) in 2010.
After graduating Natalie combined her love of theatre, fashion & nature to create the Curious Fair label. Since founding Curious Fair Natalie has created headpieces, masks & accessories internationally for; Theatre, Film, TV, Commercials, Fashion Editorials, Festivals, Events & Private Parties.
I admire Natalie so much and I hope that you will peruse her many creations on her site located here. and find a special piece for you or someone you love.
