A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM
Enjoy the details of my participation in a dinner series at the Minneapolis Institute of Art that honored two incredible exhibit featuring Van Gogh and Japanese Textiles. It was truly a night to remember!
BEAUTIFUL BUNNY BUSINESS
On a trip to Le Bon Marché, the famous French department store founded in 1838, I rounded a display and saw the most gorgeous embroidery. It took my breath away. Not only did this collection of silk velvet cushion extravaganza grab my attention, but there was a menagerie of embroidered silk velvet animals. I fell in love. Read all about the business of bunnies!
TWO URNS, TWO HOLIDAYS
I have many memories throughout my life surrounding the two wonderful holidays of Passover and Easter. For 2022, I decided to give myself the creative challenge to bring forth both holidays in a way that uses as many common elements as possible while leaving room for beautiful layers that respect each celebration.
The Taper Garden
Even though the early Minnesota months of the year are what I like to call “frigid with a side of dirty snow”, I can’t help but get dreamy about the days when green comes back to say come out and play. Having a studio full of dried and live botanicals, though, sure helps a lot. I get to create with the beauty of nature and await the great thaw.
